Family and Leisure |
| |
As families become smaller and the number of single-parents grows, the problem of incompatibility between family and job affects an ever increasing number of women and men. These developments are particularly difficult for families with impaired children. From the parents' perspective, the number of people from their immediate family who would be willing and able to care and assist those children is decreasing. At the same time, there is an increasing need for external support to ensure the stability of the family system. Daily assistance for families with impaired children – such as family-support services – are thus increasingly important. The same is true for leisure activities. |
